SNACKS
Revisit some lip smacking retro delights
90s was an era when a great range of home made as well as branded snacks were enjoyed. Home made mathris, namakparas, fryums, chiwda and laddoos were a regular snack at the every household. Hearing street vendors calling out for selling chana jor garam, stick kulfi, candy floss triggered so much euphoria and kids ran to buy one for themselves.
At that time, packaged snacks were newly introduced to the Indian markets. Television advertisements showing the colorful packaging made them all the more fascinating. Catchy taglines such as 'I love you Rasna' heightened the buzz to a different degree. Gradually, uncle chips, cheetos, rasna, boomer, milk treat and many others became a cherished part of childhood of every 90s kid. Those were simpler times of - decent quantity and quality at economical pricing. The craze multiplied with getting free gifts like tattoos, spinning top, tazos etc. inside these packaged snacks to an extent that they were being bought just for collecting these freebies. 90s was times when joy was truly found in little things.
